So our baby Bella turned one this month and of course I had to make her a tutu for the party. Plus I made barefoot sandals and a headbow. Here are the pics. I got the ideas from pinterest of course.
Just a random blog with things I love to make or redo for friends, family and around the house!

Bowtie Onesies and Onesie Dresses
I'm back in action! Well....for a little while until I have to get a job! Ha. I'm now a registered nurse (passed my boards) so now I have to look for a job to start practicing what I learned in school!
So in the meantime, our little girl is turning 1 already in October so I'm getting ready for that. I'm making it a pumpkin theme so more pictures and ideas coming for you.
Our new little nephew Henry was born yesterday so what better to give him than a bowtie onesie. He can get all dressed up for those rides in the park or just hanging out at home. :)
I bought a couple onesies at Walmart and just put a snap on the top (I also added a little round piece of felt to the back of the material so the snap wouldn't rip the onesie material). Then I just made a bowtie using an idea from Pinterest.
I found a really cute cardigan sweater that will match this onesie perfectly. :)
Now to my daughter Bella. I wanted to make her a fall outfit for pictures we will be shooting tomorrow out in a pumpkin patch. So here are two I made today. They were actually pretty easy to make (I just know BASICS in sewing) so I'm pretty motivated to make more!
I got the idea from pinterest as well. Just search onesie dresses and there are tons to choose from. I bought a 4 pack of long sleeved onesies at Carters and then just sewed on 1/3 yard of material I bought at Hobby Lobby. I used elastic on one of them and pleated the other. The pleated one was much faster. I sewed ribbon for the waist and made a hair bow too for each one. Sorry for the horrible lighting (I finished them at night).

Onesie jersey dress
So since I graduated nursing school, I've been busy sitting around spending time with my baby girl! I decided this week I would get crafty again after several months, so here is a onesie dress I made using a white onesie and old t-shirt jersey material. I just sewed layers of t-shirt material onto the onesie (I cut the onesie) and then made a flower with purple jersey. I'll take a picture of Bella in it this weekend. Enjoy!
Now I'm crazy about making these so I bought some long sleeve onesies on sale at Carters and will go buy some coordinating material at Hobby Lobby. More to come!

baby headbands
Our niece was born last week and so I thought why not make some headbands for her and our little one. I know, I know....you usually get the stretchy ribbon to make headbands but I made them with elastic ribbon for the back of the headband so I could use regular ribbon instead. I went to Michaels to get some canvases and went a little crazy buying ribbon and bows and flowers at the $1 section that they set as a trap close to the register to buy! I was a sucker and bought tons of cute stuff! So with the crocheted flowers I just hot glued clips on the back so they could either clip on to the hair or headbands. The larger flowers were already clipped.
The headbands were just hot glued with elastic ribbon (about 2 inches) just to have some stretch when the baby grows. Happy crafting!

St. Pat's Onesie
Ok now that I'm done with that....here is another onesie and leg warmers I made for St. Pat's Day!!! I bought socks from Target and cut off the bottom of the sock to make leg warmers and then just cut out a shamrock for the onesie. Enjoy drinking green beer!

Valentine Onesies
I made a couple valentine onesies for our baby girl. The LOVE and red heart onesie are made with felt and the leggings are from Target socks that I cut the ends off of and sewed. Can't wait for her to wear these soon! Happy crafting!
